Terms of service
Last updated: October 8, 2026
These terms explain how CarCompass works and the rules for using our website, our search and our chat. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1.What CarCompass does
CarCompass helps you find a vehicle at dealerships near you. You tell us what you want; our software and our concierge team look through the inventory that dealerships publish and send you options. We are not a dealership: we don't sell, finance or lease vehicles, and every purchase is an agreement between you and the dealership you choose.
2.Your account
You need an account to send a search. Give us accurate information, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use CarCompass.
3.Vehicle information and prices
Vehicle details, availability and prices come from dealerships and can change without notice. We show the price a dealership advertised and the date we saw it, but the dealership's offer is what counts. The catalog on our site is illustrative: specifications come from public sources such as the U.S. EPA and images may not show the exact vehicle.
4.Dealerships
Dealerships are independent businesses. We only share your details with a dealership when you choose to contact it. We are not responsible for a dealership's vehicles, statements, prices or services, although we'll gladly help if something goes wrong.
5.Acceptable use
Use CarCompass for your own car search. Don't misuse the service: no scraping, no automated access, no attempts to break our security, no harassment of our team or of dealerships, and nothing illegal.
6.Chat and communications
Messages you exchange with our team are stored so we can help you. We'll send you emails or notifications about your searches; you can change your preferences anytime in your account.
7.Disclaimers and liability
We work hard to give you accurate, useful results, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, CarCompass is not liable for indirect damages or for decisions you make based on information provided by dealerships.
8.Changes and termination
We may update these terms; if the changes are important we'll let you know in advance. You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
9.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
